Guest Information

Vida Dulce is our 'home away from home.'  We want you to enjoy your time there as much as we do. The goal is to get away from the hustle & bustle of daily life; the method is, as Thoreau says, make things simpler. The two bedrooms are designed for four people, but the villa can accomodate 6 using the sleeper sofa.

We have assembled a notebook that contains information about Vida Dulce and the various systems in our home. Included are operating instructions for the things you might not be familiar with. There is also information about Puerto Penasco and the surrounding area. Included in the book is an inventory of all the furnishings in our home.

We remind all our guests that NO SMOKING really does mean NO SMOKING . Please be considerate of others. A cleaning fee will be charged if anyone smokes in the villa.

Entertainment - there is a TV, a VCR, and a DVD. If you take one of the paperbacks, please leave one in trade.

Meals - Vida Dulce features a fully equiped kitchen: refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, microwave, dishwasher, kitchenware, etc. Salt and pepper are provided, but other herbs and spices depend on what is left in the cupboards, so if your menu calls for anything special, you will want to bring it along. We stop at a grocery store on the way out of Phoenix (when heading west on I-10, watch for the 75th Ave. exit - Wal-mart and Altertsons, or Dysart exit for a Fry's) and stock up on food for our stay - planning the meals is a sure fire way to make your flight zip past. There are many good restaurants in Puerto Penasco, but it is about a 15 minute drive into town.

Water - Most visitors do not have any problem with the water - we use it to brush our teeth, wash fruit & vegetables, etc. We also pick up a couple 2 gallon containers of water for cooking, making coffee, mixing with frozen juice, etc.

Solar Power - the amount of electricity available for use is determined by the level of use and how long the sun shines on the photo-electric arrays each day to charge the bank of storage batteries. Unreasonable consumption of power may result in the storage batteries being drained. At that point, one lights the candles (or goes to sleep) and waits for the sun to come up. We have a backup generator for recharging the batteries in emergencies, but it does not activate automatically - you will have to contact the management company for assistance. So leave hair dryers and curling irons at home and maximize your enjoyment of the beach experience. There will be an extra charge for generator service. ( PS We've never run out. )

Fireplace - please, no trash in the fireplace.

Sorry - no pets allowed. No ATV's or ATC's (only property owners may bring them into the subdivision).
