Weather
Climate data for Puerto Penasco has only been collected in recent years.
The Sonoran desert comes right down to the ocean, so rainfall is quite low.
It is a good idea to have a windbreaker and a sweater in the cooler months, as the nights cool off.
Cooling is provided by the sea breezes & ceiling fans. For cool nights,
bring sweats & socks or curl up under the down comforters. Central air
and heat will be installed when the power lines get to the beach - the
timing of that great event is unknown.
Best weather is usually from February 15 to May 15 and from the end of
September through the middle of November. Late November, December, and
January can be lovely, but cool nights & winds are a risk. Thanksgiving
and New Years are busier, but there are still no crowds. Mid-June through mid-September is very hot and can be humid and buggy, but the ocean temperatures are very pleasant.
